NEW BUSINESS:

A review of the contract between the Water Authority and Michiana Shores was discussed, with the possibility of having Michiana Shores tie into Michigan City’s water lines. Mick Wulff and Rich Young of Michiana Shores were in attendance and advised the Authority of their concerns should the contract be eliminated; specifically increased cost to transfer service over to Michigan City, and increased costs to the residents. The Village of Michiana is concerned due to the varying construction and reporting standards in Indiana, as well as Michiana Shores’ Clerk Steve Millick’s announcement that Michiana Shores was owed $26,000 and they would be pursuing legal action against the Village of Michiana.

All other business is to be handled at the regularly scheduled Water Authority meeting.

ADJOURNMENT:
